Enliven your child's imagination this summer in Chapel Hill! Connect with precious wildlife at the Duke Lemur Center, refine your taste at Ackland Art Museum, and blast into space at UNC's planetarium.

Get up close and personal with a fat-tailed dwarf lemur at the Duke Lemur Center. These animals look as cute as they sound and they live in one of the premier zoological institutes dedicated to lemurs. Your kids will love meeting and learning about the wide variety of lemurs from Madagascar nestled in their very own home state. Students rising into 4th-8th grade have the opportunity to join scienceday camps where they will learn about primatology and research the fossil collection at theLemur Center. Year-round and creative writing camps for all ages are also offered.

Encourage the inner Picasso in your child at Ackland Art Museum. This impressive museum hosts artwork from across the globe that spans a 4,000 year time frame. Sign your children up for one of several programs and watch them try their hand at a wide variety of engaging visual art projects. Interactive tours are available for students in K-12, which help enhance their observation and creative thinking. Collection highlights include arts of Europe, Asia, Africa, World Cultures and Ancient Civilizations.

The Summer Science Camps,offered to children in grades K-8, will also engage your child's brain.
